Villa Pisani Museo Nazionale, known as the “Queen of the Venetian Villas,” is one of the main tourist attractions in the Veneto region. Located along the enchanting Brenta Riviera, just 10 minutes from Padova and 20 minutes from Venezia, this majestic villa of the noble Pisani family has hosted doges, kings, and emperors in its 114 rooms. Today, it is a national museum preserving furnishings and artworks from the 18th and 19th centuries, including Gianbattista Tiepolo’s masterpiece “Gloria della famiglia Pisani”, frescoed on the ceiling of the grand Ballroom.
An enthusiastic 19th-century visitor once said of Villa Pisani’s park, “One step was enough to discover a new spectacle and a new wonder.” Even today, the park enchants visitors with its scenic views and unique architecture, from the Coffee House to the Esedra, the famous hedge maze—one of the most significant in Europe—the precious collection of citrus trees in the Orangerie, and the plants and flowers in the Tropical Greenhouses. As Almorò Pisani boasted, it offers “everything that can delight the eye and satisfy the taste.”
Villa Pisani hosts major exhibitions of ancient, modern, and contemporary art, attracting over 150,000 visitors each year.
