Museo Nazionale del Bargello
Ticket available for purchase online and at our Visitor Centers
Museo Nazionale del Bargello, located inside Florence’s oldest public building, houses the world’s most important collection of Italian Renaissance sculpture. Visitors can admire works spanning all possible artistic genres, and the vastness of the collection can only be truly appreciated by visiting it: the collections include hundreds of weapons, seals, textiles, waxes, enamels, paintings, ivories, majolica, and much more. Many of these masterpieces are unique in the world, both for their history, such as the Flabellum di Tournus, which dates back to the distant 9th century, and for all the sculptures in bronze or marble that belonged to the Medici family, jealously guarded in their art collections from Lorenzo il Magnifico to the last grand dukes of the Medici dynasty.
