Ghetto di Venezia is one of the most characteristic and fascinating historical districts in the lagoon. It was the first Jewish quarter in Europe and still retains its original urban structure, divided into the Old Ghetto and the New Ghetto, with a complex of numerous places of worship, including five synagogues, study buildings known as Midrashim, and the ancient oven.
Visiting these places offers a unique experience, captivating visitors with their atmosphere and the educational journey through so many still intact and vivid testimonies.
It is possible to visit the Ghetto and its historic buildings by participating in scheduled guided tours, available in Italian or English.
Please note that some locations included in the tour may be closed on certain days or periods of the year due to the religious needs of the Venetian Jewish community.
