It’s a unique and extraordinary monument because it combines civil and religious functions. In the Museum on the first floor, the original sculptures created by the most famous Florentine artists from the fifteenth to the sixteenth century, which adorned the niches outside, on the four sides of the imposing sandstone building, halfway between Palazzo della Signoria and the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, are preserved.

On the second floor of the Museum, at the top of the building, visitors can enjoy a remarkable, unique panorama of Florence.

Since January 2024, a new museum arrangement has been available for visitors.
